Amphibians and Reptiles of Britain and Ireland Taxon Expert Group
(ARBITEG) was established in 2009 to help coordinate activities and
share knowledge of herpetofauna conservation in the geographic area
covered by Great Britain, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland,
the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. The group aims to provide a
service to national Biodiversity Action Plans and to help address policy
and scientific issues. Approaches for taking these forward will vary
between countries. The group has agreed

Sub-groups
ARBITEG has agreed that it can form sub-groups: which may include a
wider range of organisations than are represented through the main
panel. A
Data sub-group has been formed specifically to
look at data and monitoring issues.
