Common Frog Rana temporaria. Newly hatched tadpoles.
When newly hatched, frog tadpoles have noticeable external gills - the feathery protrusions which can be clearly seen. Compared to toad tadpoles at a similar stage their tails are proportionately longer and more pointed.
