Lacerta agilis .Sand Lizard. Adult Merseyside female with Vivaparous Lizards in the background
This is a fairly typical Mersyside female with quite pale colouration and pronounced light dorso-lateral bands. The Viviparous Lizards basking nearby serve to demonstrate the considerable size difference which people who have not had the privilege of seeing an adult Sand Lizard often don't appreciate - and this isn't even a particularly large Sand Lizard!
