This is a very old adult male Green Lizard. The fine black speckling is typical of males as are the blue throat and cheeks which become extremely pronounced in the breeding season. It should also be noted how massive the head is compared to a female. A male of this age is as much larger than a Sand Lizard as the latter is than a Viviparous Lizard.
