| With time, sand dunes become ever more vegetated. Often the accumulation of dense grasses, shrubs and trees minimises their value as habitat. Where, however, the dunes are in close proximity to a heath system they may instead be colonised by heaths and heathers producing near ideal habitat for our reptile species. | |
