The UK Biodiversity Action Plan

We support the UK Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) and are keen to see this plan applied more effectively at all levels. We aim to see it pull together the many and diverse mechanisms for wildlife conservation and provide aspiration and innovation and a robust policy and legislative framework. Amphibian and Reptile Conservation is keen to promote and see the effective implementation of the general duty towards Biodiversity Conservation placed on public bodies by different pieces of legislation in the UK (e.g. Nature Conservation (Scotland) Act 2004, Natural Environment & Rural Communities Act 2006).
