Registration is open for the annual ARC-BHS Scientific Meeting on Saturday 5^th December – and we’re excited to be running it entirely online for the very first time!

The meeting will showcase a variety of the latest herpetological research. We’ll start by hearing about what makes newts sexy and then have a talk on the very important issue of snakebite in India. In the second session there’ll be presentations on newt sniffer dogs and the evolution of caecilian amphibians (a poorly-understood group), ending with looking at the responses of vipers to climatic change. Finally, we’ll hear about how amphibians’ skin might protect them from diseases and finishing with a talk on a fascinating part of the world – herpetofauna in Guatemala! For those interested, there will also be a “virtual social” on the evening before in place of the usual face-to-face curry. Indicate your interest during registration.
