Our Snakes in the Heather Halloween on the Heath days are perfect for a family day out this half-term. They take place on Parley Common in Dorset; a heathland nature reserve which is home to all sorts of wonderful and unique species including reptiles like the smooth snake and are free of charge as part of the Snakes in the Heather project.

We will weave our own spider webs, filling them with things we find around us, we will play a game of 'Halloween myth-busters', finding out what is true and false about frogs, snakes and lizards and then we will finish by doing some wild art.

Autumn is a great time to be outside and we believe there is no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing! Please make sure everyone in your group is dressed in layered clothing and bring snacks and drinks you may want with you.

Book by emailing Owain on [email protected] using the subject; Halloween on the Heath. Please include the following information in your email: The date and session time you would like to book for, the names of everyone in the group, the ages of the children, your mobile telephone number and any other information you think worth noting to run a safe and enjoyable event. Each booking must have at least 1 responsible adult. For available times and dates see below.
