Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (ARC) is migrating: the national wildlife charity is moving to a new head office.

The leading voice for the UK’s frogs, toads, newts, lizards and snakes has been based at its current office near Bournemouth in Dorset for more than 20 years.

From Monday 29 July 2019, the charity is relocating a few hundred metres down the road to the ground floor of 744 Christchurch Road in Boscombe.

Dr Tony Gent, ARC’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “Over the last few years it has become clear that we have out-grown our current office space and that we needed to find new premises that work better for the charity. 

“We have managed to find a property close to our existing base that provides better accommodation and a much-improved base for our staff, trustees, volunteers and visitors. By purchasing the offices we are making a good long-term investment and this will provide us savings on paying rent and more security for the future.”

The new head office also marks 30^th and 10^th anniversaries: the Herpetological Conservation Trust was founded in 1989 and ‘spawned’ Amphibian and Reptile Conservation in 2009.
