Following a low uptake of ticket sales we disappointingly but regrettably have decided to postpone the HWM conference to the 4/5 February 2023 at Venue Cymru, North Wales. We believe that this will help to relieve the current hesitancy regarding recent austerity measures and calendar clashes, making attendance more favourable to delegates.

Having hosted the Herpeofauna Workers Conference for over 30 years come rain or shine, we have never had to take such drastic measures as to postpone our annual get together. Despite having weathered COVID lockdowns, we were very much looking forward to welcoming the herpetofauna community back to a live gathering.

Despite our team carefully monitoring the uptake of ticket sales and increased publicity we were still left with extremely low attendance. Our decision however was not primarily based on monetary values : It would have been a great disappointment for our speakers, workshop leaders and sponsors to present to only a handful of delegates, certainly not the HWM experience we all look forward too!

We do however understand that this decision has had financial implications especially given some of the distances attendees were planning on. If you have already purchased tickets these have been refunded into your account and unrecoverable bookings by request.
