Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (ARC) has today launched a new Junior Membership scheme for wildlife lovers aged 5-11, who are interested in our native amphibians and reptiles, and their habitats.

The scheme is designed to educate and inspire the next generation of herpetologists while offering fun and engaging activities.

A Junior Membership includes a fun-filled welcome pack, with interesting and educational materials, such as stickers, posters, and fact sheets about our frogs, toads, newts, snakes and lizards.

Members will also receive a newsletter, which features exciting stories about our conservation efforts, upcoming events, and fun activities for children to try at home.

They  will also have access to an online children’s Fun Zone which features interactive games, “how to” craft videos, beginner ecology tutorials and details of events on ARC reserves throughout the year.

ARC's Membership Officer, Kim Boughey, comments;

We're thrilled to be launching this scheme to inspire the next generation of conservationists. By engaging children in fun and educational activities, we hope to foster a love for these incredible creatures and inspire them to become advocates for nature.

The scheme  is open to all children aged 5-11 who have an interest in learning about and protecting amphibians and reptiles in the UK. Membership is affordable, at £24 a year, and all proceeds go towards funding our conservation efforts. ARC is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the conservation of amphibians and reptiles. Through research, education, and conservation efforts, we aim to protect these important and often misunderstood creatures and their disappearing habitats.
